STEVEN POWELL

PRESIDENT

Steven M. Powell is the President of Kravco Company LLC and is responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of the company’s management and asset management portfolio.  

Mr. Powell began his career at Kravco in May 2011 as the Director of Leasing responsible for managing 1.5 million sq. ft. of retail space in the Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey regions. Mr. Powell worked on the redevelopment and remerchandising of Hamilton Mall in Mays Landing, NJ as well as the redevelopment and remerchandising of Huntingdon Valley Shopping Center in Abington, PA. In addition to his regional leasing responsibilities, Mr. Powell oversaw the leasing for Brama Mazur, a newly constructed 175,000 sq. ft. shopping center in Elk, Poland near Warsaw.

 

Before joining Kravco, Mr. Powell was a Leasing and Development Associate for Vision Group Ventures in Plymouth Meeting, PA where he worked on the construction of a 350,000 sq. ft. Target anchored power center in Williamsport, PA.

 

In 2014, with his promotion to Vice President of Leasing and Business Development, he added direction of the company’s acquisition and joint venture program to his portfolio of responsibility. Mr. Powell was instrumental in securing 45,713 sq. ft. of new retail leases for The Pavilion in King of Prussia totaling approximately $20 million of incremental property value. Recently, Mr. Powell was responsible for the acquisition of Dekalb Plaza, a 102,000 sq. ft. shopping center in King of Prussia, PA.

 

Mr. Powell is a graduate of Hamilton College earning his B.A. in Art History, Criticism and Conversation and earned his M.Sc. in Management from American University. Mr. Powell is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) having designations of Certified Leasing Specialist (CLS), Certified Retail Property Executive (CRX) and Certified Retail Real Estate Professional, (CRRP). He sits on the ICSC PA/NJ/DE Idea Exchange Committee as the 2019-2020 Co-Chair and is a current Board member of the King of Prussia Business Improvement District (BID). He is a licensed Real Estate Agent in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
